Author Donna Patton

I love to write! One of my favorite subjects is history – I’m passionate about the mysteries in history and enjoy creating characters who make past times come alive.

Donna Alice Patton is a freelance writer living in the rural Midwest. Her writing credits include articles in Reminisce, Mature Living, Lady’s Circle, Catholic Digest, History Magazine, etc. For ten years, she co-edited a syndicated monthly newspaper page in Southwest Ohio, “Cookies and Milk.”

As a teen, Donna began to understand the power of the printed word by writing many “Letters to the Editor” to share her opinions on a variety of topics. “After a while,” she said, “I had a small fan club of people who would call or send postcards to thank me for writing.” Since then, her writing career has spanned everything from press releases for a local autistic society, writing game clues, magazine articles, children homeschool curriculum, short stories and books for both children and adults.

When she isn’t writing or reading – another favorite past time, Donna can be found either gardening or sewing. One of her favorite activities is traveling, searching out interesting historical places or events to write about.
